Fulldome/Planetarium short-film, 2024-2025
3D on Blender; camera, render and other models on Unreal Engine 5.5, Niagara, Metahumans; After Effects; ProTools
This mystery-driven game trailer, particularly made for immersive planetarium format, explores the protagonist’s dreamlike
journey, blending neuroadaptive gameplay with emotional progression. Players unlock skills tied to their emotions and memories via
an EEG-controlled brain interface, challenging traditional skill systems. Inspired by surrealist art and experimental neurogaming, the
project critiques how games mechanize human psychology. Pay bridged academic research (École Estienne, UDK Berlin) and experimental
gaming, sparking dialogue on biofeedback’s role in storytelling.
Developed remotely across Paris and Berlin, visuals were crafted in Blender and Unreal Engine 5, integrating MetaHumans and Niagara systems. Sound design merged modular synths and field recordings to heighten psychological tension. The team iterated narratively through trial and error, landing on a fragmented first-person perspective to mirror disorientation.
