[MR] BOX!BOX!BOX!

This mixed-reality installation disrupts sensory expectations by juxtaposing a minimalist 3D virtual world with tactile, recycled-material sculptures. Inspired by Grégory Chatonsky’s Alternative Reality— which offer a world where imaginary remains an artistic power, not in order to falsify reality, but rather to offer plural readings of it—the work probes how our senses navigate contradictions: a virtual “sharp” object
might feel like soft foam, while abstract sounds remixed familiar noises into alien textures. Shown at my bachelor’s solo exhibition, the piece
sparked playful yet uneasy interactions, prompting reflections on consumption and the fragility of “reality.”
